Democrats doubled down on their plan to spy on Americans’ bank accounts, including the provision in their latest multi-trillion-dollar big government spending bill.

As noted yesterday, the NRCC polled the following question in its most recent battleground survey: Would you be more or less likely to support a Democrat who supports a proposal that would allow the IRS to monitor your bank accounts to make sure you are paying enough taxes.”

It was the most effective message the NRCC tested, with a clear majority (57%) of voters saying they would be MUCH LESS LIKELY to support a Democrat who backed the proposal.
