Star-Tribune: Minnesota Democrats Skip Campaigning Against Efforts to Abolish the Police
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports Angie Craig has decided not to campaign against passage of the Minneapolis ballot measure to abolish the police.
“And a spokesperson for Democratic U.S. Rep. Angie Craig, another opponent of the measure who lives outside Minneapolis, said Craig hadn’t done any campaigning or spending against the amendment following her criticism of it in an August announcement.
And Dean Phillips – who is close friends with ‘Defund the Police’ icon Cori Bush – has refused to take a position on the ballot question altogether.
NRCC Comment: “By refusing to campaign against this amendment, Angie Craig and Dean Phillips are implicitly backing the movement to abolish the police. Once again, they are all talk and no action.” – NRCC Spokesman Mike Berg
