DCCC Chair decides it’s time to “give people their lives back”

Today DCCC Chair Sean Patrick Maloney made a stunning reversal on mask mandates and decided it’s time to “give people their lives back.” 

The science certainly hasn’t changed – we’ve had a vaccine that protects individuals from severe illness and death from COVID for over a year.  

One thing that has changed: the politics.  

Yesterday The New York Times reported focus groups conducted by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy found “voters shared frustrations over [Democrats’] public health measures, a sense of pessimism about the future and a deep desire to return to some sense of normalcy.
