Slotkin attacks opponent for attending Army training instead of campaigning

In an effort to deflect criticism of her hypocritical maskless photo, Elissa Slotkin attacked her opponent Tom Barrett for not campaigning and tweeting from his basement.  

Here’s what Slotkin told the Detroit News: “I turned around and took one selfie, and a bunch of guys in their basement made sure that went viral. The irony is that, while one side is tweeting from their basement, I in the morning had welcomed 25 Army soldiers into Sparrow Hospital to help our exhausted nurses. I’d done seven events in four counties. So it felt like a perfect foil of what my opponent spent his weekend doing, and what I spent my weekend doing.”

But it turns out Sen. Barrett was training with the Army, not sitting in his basement.
