Democrats put forward another crooked candidate in MI-10

March 22, 2022

Yesterday Rhonda Powell, became the fifth Democrat to enter the clown car primary for Michigan’s 10th congressional district

The Macomb Daily reports Powell was fired from her job as Macomb County department director because of “serious administrative failures which resulted in a loss of trust and confidence in her ability to responsibly supervise conduct.”

Powell is the second Democrat in this primary to be accused of misconduct while in office. Another Democrat candidate, Carl Marlinga, is best known for being indicted “on charges he helped a convicted rapist win a new trial in exchange for contributions to his 2002 run for Congress.”

NRCC Comment: “Democrats are having serious issues recruiting a candidate without major baggage for this race.” –  NRCC Spokesman Mike Berg
