Despite xenophobic and sexist remarks, Congresswoman Chu defends Jay Chen

Add Congresswoman Judy Chu to the list of Democrats defending Jay Chen’s xenophobic remarks about Rep. Steel. 

Chen, along with saying, “You kind of need an interpreter to figure out exactly what she’s (Rep. Steel) saying,” has previously made sexist remarks about Steel, claiming, “all she does is rely on Republican talking points fed by her husband.”

Why on earth would Chu defend someone with a record of making xenophobic and sexist comments? 

It’s no wonder Democrat strategists are worried about losing Asian American voters.
