New York’s cashless bail crisis has gotten so bad that even Democrats like Sean Patrick Maloney who promised to “make it a top priority” are having election-year epiphanies about the law.
This has nothing to do with an unrelenting crime wave, a surge in violent subway crime, or Democrats suddenly listening to law enforcement officials who’ve said cashless bail results in more crime for over two years.
The real concern for anti-cop Democrats like Maloney and Max Rose is that they might be held accountable for their anti-law enforcement agenda this November:
