Reports of economy shrinking days after Wild claims it “is booming”

Just days ago, Susan Wild claimed “the economy is booming.”

But the economy declined 1.4% in the first quarter.

This wouldn’t be Wild’s first out-of-touch comments about the economy. Last month she claimed “there are no bad-paying jobs these days,” and in January she boasted about economic progress the same day prices rose to their highest level since 1982.
