IL gas prices jump almost 21 cents in one week

Gas prices in Chicago are about to hit ANOTHER record high just ahead of the summer travel season, with prices at the pump rising 20.8 cents per gallon in the last week.

And The Wall Street Journal reports it’s happening across the country as “Americans itching to travel this summer after navigating Covid-19 for the past two years face a new disruption to plans: the rising cost of travel… Gas prices are up about 50% from a year ago.”

Illinois voters have Sean Casten, Marie Newman, Bill Foster, and Lauren Underwood’s war on energy to thank.
