Malinowski moves to put name on ballot twice
Tom Malinowski is so doomed he’s attempting to skirt New Jersey’s law banning fusion voting so his name appears on the general election ballot twice.
The New Jersey Globe reports a new political party has filed nominating petitions to create the “Moderate Party” with Malinowski as their candidate.
But “[f]usion voting – the ability for a candidate to run on multiple party lines and combine their vote totals” – has been banned in New Jersey since around 1920.
NRCC Comment: “It shouldn’t be surprising that Tom Malinowski is using unethical means to desperately cling to his job where he uses his office to do unethical things. What is surprising is that he believes New Jersey voters will fall for his embarrassing attempt to distance himself from Democrats’ failed progressive agenda in Washington.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Samantha Bullock
