Susie Lee can’t fix inflation crisis she caused

Susie Lee tweeted yesterday that “Democrats are passing bills to fight inflation.” 

But economists say Democrats’ spending bills made inflation worse. 

A senior fellow in economic studies at the Brookings Institution told Vox: “I think we can say with certainty that we would have less inflation and fewer problems that we need to solve right now if the American Rescue Plan had been optimally sized.”

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco wrote in a recent article: “We put gasoline on the fire. That’s basically what the ARP (American Rescue Plan) did. It was almost written as if we didn’t just pass a trillion-dollar stimulus in December.”
