Morgenthau receiving tax break on DC home

Sarah Morgenthau’s Rhode Island residency issues and accusations of carpetbagging continue to haunt her.

WPRI reports Morgenthau is still claiming a homestead exemption on her home in Washington DC – a tax break that officials say “is only allowed if the owner lives in Washington, owns the property and doesn’t live primarily at any other residence.”
