Cook Political Report moves CA-13 toss up
The Cook Political Report just moved CA-13 in Republicans’ direction, deeming it a Toss Up.
They write:
“Democratic Rep. Josh Harder chose to move north to the bluer 10th CD, leaving this rural, 61 percent Latino Central Valley seat open. And although President Biden carried it by 11 points in 2020, there’s evidence anger over inflation and water scarcity have eroded Democrats’ advantage since: in 2021, this seat voted to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom by a point. And in the June top-two primary, GOP candidates combined for 52 percent of the vote.”
NRCC Comment: “Democrat Adam Gray is going to pay the price for his party’s disastrous agenda that has forced California families to pay record-high prices for everything.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Torunn Sinclair
