Cook Political Report moves CA-45 toward GOP

The Cook Political Report just moved CA-45 in Republicans’ direction, deeming it a Lean Republican.
They write:
“Redistricting forced Steel to run in a 41 percent Asian, Biden +6 seat instead of her current Biden +2 coastal seat. But Democrats probably lost their best hope when former Rep. Harley Rouda passed on a rematch. In the June top-two primary, Steel and another minor Republican combined for a robust 57 percent against Democrats’ nominee, Mt. San Antonio Community College trustee Jay Chen, who lost a 2012 race here.”
