Cook Political Report moves PA-12 toward GOP

The Cook Political Report just moved PA-12 in Republicans’ direction.

They note Democrats’ nominee, socialist Summer Lee, barely eked out a primary win and her “stances on policing and healthcare” could “[alienate] moderate voters.”

Additionally, while Democrats normally “wouldn’t have to sweat a House race in the city of Pittsburgh…redistricting pushed this seat out into conservative Westmoreland County, reducing the Biden margin from +30 to +20.”
