POLITICO: Rudy Salas has missed more than 430 votes in California State Assembly
July 14, 2022
Politico reports Rudy Salas has missed more than 430 state assembly votes since 2013 and he “was present but held off on voting for roughly 300 in the initial roll-call.”
Salas responded saying he only casts votes on “final versions of state-level bills,” which isn’t true.
Two examples show Salas didn’t vote on the final passage of California’s Green New Deal or a bill to raise Californian’s minimum wage to $15 an hour.
NRCC COMMENT: “Rudy Salas doesn’t deserve a promotion to Congress; he deserves to be fired. Missing more than 430 votes is inexcusable, and his constituents deserve an explanation for his many absences.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Torunn Sinclair
