Starbucks closing Philadelphia location over safety concerns

July 14, 2022

Starbucks announced it will close a location in Philadelphia over safety concerns for workers and customers, saying “We are closing stores in some locations that have experienced a high volume of challenging incidents that make it difficult to create a safe and welcoming environment.”

This comes as Philadelphia is on pace to break its 2021 levels of violent crime halfway through this year.
