ICYMI: Rep. Jahana Hayes could be the first incumbent Connecticut Democrat to lose in 22 years

The Washington Examiner reports Republicans’ road to the House majority could include an “upset…in the Democratic stronghold of New England.”

Incumbent Democrat Jahana Hayes is facing top-tier recruit George Logan, has supported Biden’s agenda in lockstep, and is dogged by ethics issues “after reports emerged that the congresswoman was keeping two of her children on her campaign’s payroll.”

Notably, DCCC Chairman Sean Patrick Maloney “declined to say whether the DCCC would be investing more resources on behalf of Hayes,” even as election forecasters rate the seat a toss-up.
