Malinowski lies about ethics investigation into his stock trades
Tom Malinowski’s staff claimed on record without proof last week that Malinowski had been exonerated by the Office of Congressional Ethics regarding the probe into his pandemic stock trading scandal:
But on Friday, the House Committee on Ethics cleared several members of Congress from failing to properly disclose their stock trades – and Malinowski was notably left off the list.
In fact, Business Insider reports: “The Office of Congressional Ethics has referred several STOCK Act-related cases — most notably, that of Rep. Tom Malinowski, a New Jersey Democrat — to the House Committee on Ethics, which alone has power to punish member of the US House for ethical transgressions.”
NRCC Comment: “Tom Malinowski is still under investigation for his pandemic stock trading spree. Unless Malinowski can provide proof to the contrary, this is just another big lie from the corrupt congressman.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Samantha Bullock
