New poll: Dems’ latest reckless spending bill is toxic for Maloney
August 10, 2022
A new poll of Sean Patrick Maloney’s constituents found certain provisions of Democrats’ latest reckless spending bill are wildly unpopular with voters.
In NY-17, 55 percent of respondents said they’d be less likely to vote for Maloney for supporting a bill that increases taxes on businesses, includes $7,500 tax breaks on “luxury” electric cars, and hires more IRS agents.
NRCC Comment: “Sean Patrick Maloney will have a tough time defending this wildly unpopular bill to voters, even in the slightly bluer seat he hand-selected for himself.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Samantha Bullock
