High prices not going anywhere for Illinois families

September 13, 2022

CNBC reports “Inflation rose more than expected in August… Economists had been expecting headline inflation to fall 0.1% and core to increase 0.3%, according to Dow Jones estimates.”

The price of food is expected to increase by 11% this year alone, and electricity prices continue to soar.

The so-called ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ that Illinois Democrats voted for isn’t working.

NRCC Comment: “Instead of combating skyrocketing prices, Sean Casten, Raja Krishnamoorthi, Bill Foster, and Lauren Underwood hiked taxes on the middle class and hired IRS agents to audit struggling Illinois workers and families.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Courtney Parella
