Cartwright’s Scranton: “Everybody up here, they struggle.”
For someone who whose campaign strategy is supposedly “going local,” Matt Cartwright doesn’t seem to have a finger on the pulse of NEPA, where eight in 10 Pennsylvania voters say higher prices have been difficult or a hardship for them.
One Scranton resident says, “Everybody up here, they struggle. The food is expensive, the gas.”
Another said, “I worry all the time about the economy and health care.”
But while Pennsylvanians struggle, Cartwright was too busy celebrating Democrats’ latest reckless spending bill that did nothing to lower costs and forcing taxpayers to fund flights on his private jet.
NRCC Comment: “Matt Cartwright can’t relate to the struggles Scranton residents are facing because he’s an out-of-touch liberal elitist who only cares about helping himself.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Samantha Bullock
