NM-02 candidate Gabe Vasquez admits to using pseudonym, blames local news station

Congressional candidate for New Mexico’s second district, Gabe Vasquez, is now blaming a local El Paso ABC affiliate, KVIA, after a Washington Free Beacon investigation found he gave a “fake name during an anti-police rant to a journalist at a Black Lives Matter protest in the summer of 2020.”

Vasquez’s campaign told Politico today that “Gabe did not give a fake name. That name was attributed to him by the new station when he declined to give his name…”

But if was the fault of the news station, why would Gabe delete old tweets of himself using the same mask he wore to the protest?

Would KVIA or reporter Michael Gordon care to comment on Gabe’s accusations?
