WaPo/ABC Poll: R’s winning where it matters
Yesterday’s Washington Post/ABC poll showed Republicans are in a strong position to recapture the majority. Republicans lead by five points among likely voters (51% R – 46% D) and hold large leads on the economy (R+16), inflation (R+19), and crime (R+14). Joe Biden remains incredibly unpopular (39% approve-53% disapprove).
From the poll: “Another result is notable: Among those living in congressional districts that are rated as at least somewhat competitive by ABC’s FiveThirtyEight (neither solid Republican nor solid Democratic), registered voters favor Republican candidates by a wide 55-34 percent.”
NRCC Comment: “Republicans are winning in the places that will decide the majority. Democrats are running up the score in San Francisco.” – NRCC Spokesman Mike Berg
