Will Magaziner condemn Whitehouse?
Seth Magaziner has made a congressional stock trading ban a centerpiece of his campaign, but he’s refusing to condemn retiring Rep. Jim Langevin’s shady stock trades.
But Langevin isn’t the only Democrat supporting Magaziner who’s faced scrutiny over his stock trades.
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse violated the STOCK Act, and the New York Times found that Whitehouse has traded stock in public companies related to the committees he serves on.
NRCC Comment: “Seth Magaziner is either using a stock trading ban as a talking point to score cheap political points, or he’s serious about it and will reject the endorsements of Jim Langevin and Sheldon Whitehouse over their corrupt behavior.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Samantha Bullock
