Magaziner’s ARP money went toward Providence “reparations” committee

Fox News reports the city of Providence used $10 million in ARP funds to create a “reparations” commission that is pushing for a bail bond fund and K-12 curriculum reform, among other measures, to address systemic racism in the city.

As State Treasurer, Seth Magaziner distributed $260 million of Rhode Island’s ARP funds to cities and towns across the state, including millions of dollars to Providence.

Did Magaziner know Providence would use ARP funds to create a “reparations” committee when he gave them the money?

Does he condemn Providence’s use of taxpayer funds for a reparations committee now?
