SCARY: Gabe Vasquez says he wants to work on energy issues in Congress

In an interview with the Albuquerque Journal, Gabe Vasquez said if he’s elected to Congress he wants to serve on the Energy and Natural Resources Committee because of all the “energy assets in Southern New Mexico.” 

But what Gabe Vasquez wants to do is shut down New Mexico’s energy assets. 

Vasquez told listeners on his podcast that he “agrees” with “folks in the environmental community who say ‘shut it all down. Let’s just get rid of [New Mexico’s oil and gas industry] immediately.’”

New Mexico’s oil and gas industry supports more than 115,000 jobs, and gives billions to the state’s public schools.
