The Cook Political Report shifted CT-05 from “Lean Democrat” to “Toss Up.”

They note that Democratic strategists privately blame Jahana Hayes for her own predicament since she “hasn’t had to navigate a tough year before” and is floundering.

Hayes’ “tone-deaf blunder” stating, “This bleak outlook is overemphasized, Democrats singlehandedly saved the economy” is forcing House Majority PAC to air positive ads on her behalf.
