RACE RATINGS CHANGES: Cook shifts CA-47, CA-26, CA-09 toward GOP

November 1, 2022

The Cook Political Report today moved CA-47 from “Lean Democrat” to “Toss Up,” CA-26 from “Solid D” to “Lean D,” and CA-09 from “Likely D” to “Lean D.”

In 2020, President Biden won CA-47 (Katie Porter’s seat) by 11 points, CA-26 (Julia Brownley’s seat) by 20 points, and CA-09 (Josh Harder’s seat) by 13 points.

Last week, Cook moved CA-49 (Mike Levin’s seat) from “Lean Democrat” to “Toss Up,” and it was announced yesterday that President Biden would be returning to Southern California to campaign for him.

Biden campaigned in Orange County for Katie Porter two weeks ago.
