No, Spanberger, it’s not complicated

Abigail Spanberger has finally responded to the mounting criticism against her vote to support a D.C. crime measure that would reduce penalties for violent criminals.

Her response? “This is a complicated issue.” 

The reality is, this isn’t a complicated issue. 

Earlier this week, Virginia’s Attorney General spoke out against Spanberger’s vote:  

“D.C. crime absolutely affects Northern Virginia crime – and the fact that they failed at this aspect of their job, I think was very troubling.”

“It’s not complicated that violent criminals shouldn’t be given reduced sentences. Virginians deserve someone who puts the safety of their communities first.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Delanie Bomar
