Wiley Nickel must reject foreign money benefitting his campaign

Wiley Nickel says he opposes dark money, but he received support from foreign billionaire Hansjörg Wyss laundered through an opaque web of dark money vehicles.

AP reported today on how Wyss’ foreign dark money network, which paid for TV ads benefitting people like Nickel, skirts the ban on foreign money in campaigns.

Nickel said, “to make Congress work, we need to get dark money out of politics.” Yet, Nickel benefitted from Wyss’ foreign influence. 

“Wiley Nickel is a liar and a hypocrite bankrolled by a foreign billionaire’s dark money conspiracy. Nickel must reject the foreign dark money used to prop up his political campaign or be complicit in this perversion of the law.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Delanie Bomar
