In light of Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s statement that the U.S. could reach the debt limit as soon as June 1, NRCC National Press Secretary Will Reinert released the following statement:

“House Democrats continue to stonewall House Republicans’ plan to solve the debt crisis and refuse to tell President Biden to come to the negotiating table. That’s irresponsible. It’s dangerous, and the NRCC will hold these radical members accountable to voters for their extremism that could cause countless lost jobs and tank workers’ retirement accounts.”
