“House Republicans aren’t just politicians in fancy clothes – we have an incredible roster of authentic candidates with compelling life stories allowing us to win anywhere,” said NRCC Communications Director Jack Pandol. “Zach Nunn answered the call to serve our country just as he answered the call to raise his two adopted children, and that sense of serving others before himself is what makes him a dynamic Congressman for Iowa.”

A partial transcript from the video featuring Zach Nunn can be found below:

“I’m most proud of my opportunity to serve my community. Both as a husband and a Dad of six incredible kiddos.

So Kelly and my wife have what think is a wonderful little family. We had four kids together and we were trucking along really well as the standard kinda Iowa crew, and then at two-thirty in the morning my wife got a phone call.

It was an ask –‘would we take on two half-sisters.’ We were able to bring these two girls in as adopted kids.

Now we have six kiddos in our family. It’s a lot of work. It’s a lot of fun. And there is clearly a lot of love in the house.”
