New York Crime Still Major Concern

In case you missed it, The New York Postwrote about a recent Siena poll that showed “41% of New Yorkers have ‘never’ been this concerned about their safety.” 

This should not come as a surprise given car thefts have increased by 23% alone this June compared to last. 

Other alarming statistics from this poll:  

• 40% have spent over $100 on items to make them feel safer 
• Almost 1 in ten have said they were physically assaulted or a victim of burglary over the last year. 
• 87% said crime is a major issue in New York
