Hertel: “I’m probably pretty progressive”
Don’t let retired lobbyist Curtis Hertel’s campaign try to confuse you about his record, behind closed doors Hertel is all too happy to admit he’s extreme.
Just days after launching his campaign, Hertel told Lansing area voters “I think if you look at my record, I’m probably pretty progressive.”
Hertel spent 22 years in office serving special interests, voting against tax cuts for families, drafting the largest budget in state history, and even allowed $175 million in taxpayer money to be sent to a Chinese Communist Party-backed company.
“Curtis Hertel’s twenty two year career of serving special interests and voting against relief for families paints a clear picture of who Hertel truly is: out of touch and too extreme for Michigan.” — NRCC Spokesman Chris Gustafson
