First of Many for Molinaro

Yesterday, Freshman New York Republican Marc Molinaro passed his fist standalone bill. 

The “Schools Not Shelters” Act was designed to protect children throughout the country so that their place of education is not used to house illegal immigrants. It came as a direct response to extreme Democrat Kathy Hochul’s plan to house illegal immigrants in K-12 schools throughout New York. 

This bill was passed with bipartisan support as Rep. Molinaro stated, “we should be dealing with the migrant crisis in a compassionate way. There is nothing compassionate about bussing migrants from the southern border, to New York City, and then to Upstate New York. All to live in an area they’re unfamiliar with and in schools that are ill-equipped to serve as migrant shelters.” 

A win for sanity and a win for safety.
