McCarthy forces Gabe Vasquez to show his extremism

Axios is out with a new report detailing how Speaker McCarthy has forced vulnerable House Democrats to take difficult votes that will “re-emerge in campaign advertisements.” 

Why does this matter?

So far this year, vulnerable Democrat Gabe Vasquez has been forced to vote on numerous issues, such as:

• Voting against American energy, despite oil and gas production funding a large portion of the state’s public schools and 25% of state and local budgets
• Voting against securing the southern border, despite the El Paso entry point being 42 miles from his district
• Supporting late-term abortions
• Voting against limiting wasteful government spending 
• Voting to reduce penalties for violent criminals
