According to the Washington Post’s scoop:

  • “U.S. agents made more than 130,000 arrests along the Mexico border last month, up from 99,545 in June.”
  • This constitutes an increase of more than 30%.
  • The spike in Arizona was “the highest one-month total for the Tucson sector in 15 years.”

NRCC National Press Secretary Will Reinert said: “Every state is a border state as fentanyl kills thousands across the country. Voters will rightfully blame Joe Biden and extremist Democrats for their open border policies that continue to make their neighborhoods even more dangerous.”
