Biden Tax Hike
August 16, 2023
It’s been one year since the poorly named “Inflation Reduction Act” was signed into law and the reviews are in:
- Nearly half of Americans say their financial situation is actively “getting worse” under Biden.
- Inflation surged more than any wage gains Americans might have experienced.
- Inflation means families spend $709 more per month than two years ago.
- Grocery costs are 23 percent higher than they were at the start of the pandemic.
- There were 5.9 million Americans working part-time in July, who would rather have a full-time job but cited economic reasons for not doing so.
Extreme Democrat Mary Peltola supported it and Alaska inflation is up more than 3.5 percent compared to a year ago.
“One year later Americans are still paying the price: at gas stations, grocery stores and in their monthly bills. While extreme Democrats like Mary Peltola pat themselves on the back, everyone else is rolling their eyes.” – NRCC Spokesperson Ben Petersen
