The Messenger: Flores motivated to run to save the U.S from lawlessness
The Messenger is out with a new story highlighting why Mayra Flores is motivated to run for Congress against Vicente Gonzalez, who has defended an array of felony drug dealers and street gang leaders.
Flores highlights why the chaos at the border is personal for her:
“It hurts because my grandparents — my abuelitos — still live in Burgos,” the Mexican native turned Texas Republican told The Messenger about her family ties below the border. “And I don’t visit them as often. Why? Because I’m afraid.”
“But that’s the life of most people here in south Texas,” she said.
While Flores fights for protecting the border, Vicente Gonzalez is doing the opposite. He gave amnesty to more than two million illegal immigrants, voted against legislation to combat the opioid crisis and voted against helping DHS authorities deporting illegal immigrants.
