National Journal puts Dina Titus on “Retirement Watch”

October 17, 2023

Extreme liberal Dina Titus landed a spot on National Journal’s “Retirement Watch” list due to her lousy third quarter fundraising.

Her fundraising total was second-worst among Republican-targeted seats,” the Nevada Independent reported.

In case you missed it…

NOTE: “Dina Titus signed her pink slip when she voted to lower penalties for violent crime, opposed relief for skyrocketing gas prices and cheerled ‘Bidenomics’ bankrupting Nevadans,” said NRCC Spokesperson Ben Petersen.

Titus raised only $122K in the third quarter

The National Journal has put Democratic Rep. Dina Titus (NV-1) on “retirement watch” upon review of her FEC fundraising reports. A deeper review of her campaign finances reveal that a majority of her largest contributions are from out-of-state donors.

According to their report:

As the New Year approaches, two Democratic members in competitive seats are on retirement watch. Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada raised only $122,000, while Rep. Jeff Jackson brought in $116,000 amid speculation he may run for North Carolina attorney general.

One of Titus’ largest individual contributors is a music industry mogul “fueled by hate,” Peter Mensch, who was accused by his ex-wife of being a “fucking communist.”

Titus, one of the first Democrats to back President Biden in 2020, votes with the President 100 percent of the time according to Five Thirty Eight.

Some of her most controversial votes include voting to extend the national COVID-19 emergency declared on March 13, 2020, lowering penalties for a number of violent crimes, including robberies and carjackings, opposed HR-1 that sought to expand clean energy initiatives through cutting bureaucratic red tape and investing in natural gas and mining resources abundant in the Silver State, and was the sole Nevada representative appointed to the Biden-Harris National Advisory Board to deliver the campaign’s message.

According to polls, her allegiance to Biden comes at a time when his approval rating falls below 40 percent and gas prices in Nevada have surged to near-record highs. In 1997, Titus supported gas tax legislation that automatically raised Nevada’s fuel tax by the exact amount of any reduction at the federal level.
