Val Hoyle hires public records lawyer with a history

Corrupt Val Hoyle’s cover-up continues. Val Hoyle broke her promise to produce public records stored on her personal device:

Instead of handing over her devices like state officials asked, Hoyle hired Gov. Kate Brown’s old counsel Emily Matasar to pick and choose which records to hand over.

That’s highly problematic because Matasar was at the center of a public records scandal in Brown’s office, which was repeatedly called out by Oregon news outlets for obstructing public records requests.
