38% higher Medicare cost for Texans
The Inflation Reduction Act will cause Medicare Part D prescription drug premiums to rise by as much as 38% in Texas according to a new study.
Gonzalez previously celebrated the IRA, saying it was “an important opportunity to counteract inflation and deliver for South Texas […] and lowers the price of medication for Medicare beneficiaries, reduces energy and healthcare costs for South Texas families.”
Unfortunately for Texans, Gonzalez’s IRA is actually making medication more expensive.
“Senior citizens on fixed incomes were already the most vulnerable to Vicente Gonzalez’s extreme inflationary agenda. Now Grandma and Grandpa’s final refill of their prescription drugs in 2023 might be the last one they can afford.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Delanie Bomar
