WASHINGTON – The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released the following statement on Ohio’s 9th Congressional district primary election:

“Congratulations to Derek Merrin on his primary victory. The writing is on the wall for Marcy Kaptur, as her long career in Congress will soon come to an end. Republicans are fully behind Derek Merrin because the voters of Northwest Ohio are ready for change. We look forward to flipping this district red.” – NRCC Spokesman Mike Marinella
