Another Election Year Switcheroo

It’s an election year which means politicians are pulling all sorts of stunts to undo their abysmal poll numbers. 

Earlier this week, Joe Biden tried to reverse his own open border policies with a weak Executive Order as if we wouldn’t forget his 64 separate times he has made our border crisis a crisis. 

Now, Kathy Hochul is trying to save far left Democrats in tough House races and reverse congestion pricing. Just look at some of these excerpts from POLITICO:  

• “New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s decision to halt the nation’s first urban tolling plan was designed, in part, to help Democrats win tough House races this year.”
• “Then public polls showed the initiative was profoundly loathed by voters in New York City’s metropolitan region, notably those in suburban swing seats that are pivotal for Democrats’ chances of regaining control of Congress.”
• ““This was really a political decision,” said a New York Democratic political consultant, granted anonymity to speak freely about a sensitive matter.”
• ““If Hochul was seeking to do the right thing, this should have been halted a long time ago,” Republican former Rep. Lee Zeldin, who challenged Hochul in the 2022 governor’s race, said.”
