ICYMI: Austin Theriault leads Jared Golden in Poll

In case you missed it…Bangor Daily Newsreported on the first public poll for ME-02 which shows Republican challenger Austin Theriault leading incumbent Democrat Jared Golden. 

Some highlights:   

• “He [Theriault] led with 47 percent support to 44 percent for Golden…”
• “He [Golden] was up 20 points in surveys at this time four years ago…”
• “While Golden and Theriault have similar favorability ratings in the low 40s, a roughly equal share of voters have an unfavorable view of Golden”
  • “Only 29 percent have a negative view of Theriault”
• “…Golden’s net favorability rating has dropped by 19 points since the firm’s last round of polling in February.”

This poll comes on the heels of race rankers moving this race towards the GOP just last week.
