NRCC Launches Seven-Figure Ad Reservation in NC-01
September 27, 2024
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) today announced a seven-figure hybrid ad reservation with the Laurie Buckhout campaign.
The strategic ad buy is $1.45 million in total, including a $725,000 direct investment from the NRCC to extend the Buckhout campaign’s advertising and build her more name ID.
“With this historic investment, the NRCC will ensure more North Carolinians can hear Laurie’s inspiring life story: serving our country in combat and building her own business from the ground up.” — NRCC Spokeswoman Delanie Bomar
This is in addition to the NRCC’s previously announced advertising reservation, which included a significant investment in NC-01.
Background:
- There is a huge amount of outside negative advertising already reserved in NC-01, including $5.4 million from CLF in the Raleigh market alone, and $8.1 million total.
- Hybrid advertising is a way for party committees to split the cost of an ad at the cheaper candidate rate to help candidates get on air faster with their own message.
