New Report: Gonzalez and Cuellar are in Trouble

The Cook Political Report just released new PVI numbers for 2025, and out of touch Democrats Vicente Gonzalez and Henry Cuellar are feeling the heat.

The report named TX-34 with Democrat Vicente Gonzalez as the most Republican-trending district in the nation moving from D+9 to EVEN. 

The report also named TX-28 with Democrat Henry Cuellar as one of the top Republican-trending districts moving from D+3 to R+2.

President Trump won both TX-34 and TX-28 in 2024, paired with new polling this week showing his approval among Hispanic men is surging, with 59% backing the President’s job performance. 

Vicente Gonzalez along with Henry Cuellar were named to the NRCC’s target list, representing prime pick-up opportunities for Republicans.
