Chairman Hudson: The DCCC’s List is a Fantasy

WASHINGTON, D.C. — National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Richard Hudson (R-NC) issued the following statement after the DCCC released their target list. 

“The DCCC’s target list is a political fantasy. They’re pouring resources into deep-red Trump territory while ignoring the clear reality: The battlefield in 2024 is in our favor. These districts aren’t trending blue, they’re getting redder. While Democrats chase seats that have consistently rejected their agenda, Republicans are focused on flipping competitive districts that are trending toward our message of common sense. The contrast couldn’t be clearer, and it shows which party has a real path to the majority.”

Background:

Last month, the NRCC announced a target list of 26 Democrat-held seats representing prime pick-up opportunities for Republicans to grow the House majority.

The DCCC is targeting 21 seats Trump won by 5 or more points. 34 of their 35 targets shifted more Republican in 2024 by an average of nearly 5 points. Only 12 of their targets voted for Joe Biden in 2020, 23 backed Trump twice and just got redder.
