NRCC Launches Paid Digital Ad Campaign Targeting Vulnerable Jared Golden’s Vote to Raise Taxes

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) launched a paid digital advertising campaign targeting Jared Golden for voting against the budget resolution, leading to higher taxes for Maine families by slashing the child tax credit in half and making families pay thousands more.

Jared Golden REFUSED to extend the Trump Tax Cuts, which would hurt hardworking Maine families, farmers, and small businesses in the following ways:

• Families in Maine’s 2nd congressional district will get slammed with an average tax hike of $3,637.97. 
• Tax rates go back up for EVERY income level, impacting 145 million households making under $1 million.
• Tips remain fully taxed, impacting about 6 million workers making an average of $32,000.
• The Standard Deduction drops from $15,000 to $8,000 for individuals and from $30,000 to $16,000 for families, impacting 91% of taxpayers. 
• The Child Tax Credit gets cut in half, impacting 40 million families.
• The Death Tax Exemption gets cut in half, decimating future generations of family farmers. 
• Small Business 20% Deduction (199A) expires, hiking their rate to as high as 43.4%, devastating more than 20 million small businesses.
